For appliance repair
Phone-quoted repair estimates are how a small appliance shop bleeds — the customer says "washer making a noise" and what they have is a snapped suspension that needs ordered parts, not the bearing replacement you quoted. Reeve runs the diagnostic-first script so the price you give is the price you actually charge.
What gets handled
- Diagnostic visit booking. Reeve answers, asks the right questions (appliance type, brand, age, symptom, model + serial if available), and books the diagnostic visit — never quoting a fix from a phone description.
- Model + serial enforcement. Repair quotes require the model and serial number for parts ordering. Reeve refuses to commit a price or order parts without them.
- Parts-approval workflow. After diagnosis, the customer gets the written parts-and-labor breakdown. Parts get ordered only after explicit written approval. No surprise charges.
- Diagnostic-fee credit. If the customer approves the repair, the diagnostic fee credits to the total — the script that prevents the awkward conversation.
- Invoicing and collections. Invoice ships after the repair completes. Past-due follow-ups go out automatically. Payment lands in your Stripe account.
Why this fits appliance repair specifically
Appliance repair is brand-and-model-specific work where the actual job often diverges from the symptom. The diagnostic visit is the safety layer between "I think it needs a capacitor" and "actually you need a $400 inverter board." The right answer to "just come fix it tomorrow" is always "let's diagnose first" — every time.

The first thirty days you review every action Reeve drafts. After thirty days, routine diagnostic bookings and approved- repair confirmations ship on their own; commercial-appliance requests and unusual symptoms stay with you. The trust is earned per action class, not declared.
